Pandanus Resort
The Pandanus is the closest resort to the famous "red" sand dunes and canyon of Mui Ne. The salmon-coloured dunes are a ten minute hike up a small hill above the resort, and the canyons may be reached by walking north one kilometre on the beach.
The resort is on the northern side of the picturesque fishing village of Mui Ne towards the tiny village of Ap Thien Ai and separated from the myriad of small resorts and guest houses that line the beach south of Mui Ne towards the city of Phan Thiet.
The Mui Ne area records the least amount of rainfall of any area of Vietnam, so even when it rains daily during July and August in Ho Chi Minh City, just four and a half hours drive from Phan Thiet, it seldom rains in Mui Ne.
